This
term the Art20G (Grade 10) class chose to make a
selection of sundials from clay as one of their
many projects. Their teacher was Brenda McKenzie
and the class consisted of Rhonda Guy, Wendy
Beaudoin, Sheena Turner, Amber Guy and Dom
French. To begin their
project each student illustrated their dial in a
sketch book. Only after having drawn what they
planned to construct did they then start working
with the clay. After a lot of hard work with the
clay, two firings in the kiln and the careful
application of glazes, their sundial creations
were complete.
These
sundials are all beautiful and the students
should be proud of what they have created. But
obviously they are! You can tell that from all
the happy faces.
